The Faculty has excellent facilities to support teaching and research, including a library service offering one of the best education collections in the UK. Its PGCE has been consistently recognised by Ofsted as being of Outstanding quality. A close working relationship has been established over a number of years with some 200 schools in the Eastern region of England. This has enabled annually up to 200 trainees to prepare for careers in early primary and primary teaching.
The Faculty of Education is one of the largest groups of educational researchers and teacher educators in England. The wide range of its expertise encompasses all stages of formal education from the early years through to the primary and secondary stages of schooling. It is well-placed, therefore, to make major contributions both to the advancement of knowledge and practice about issues of significance to education and children’s learning.

Applicants for this course should have achieved a UK 2:1 Honours Degree.
